2007 was the year when LEGO released the first ever LEGO Modular Building. LEGO 10182 Cafe Corner Modular Building 2007 features three LEGO townspeople minifigures. There is a nice hotel on the outside of the building.
The corner building contains two stories with the cafe on the ground floor and the hotel on the second floor.
2) LEGO Factory 10190 Market Street

LEGO Factory 10190 Market Street Modular Building 2007 was an interesting set and was released after LEGO 10182 Cafe Corner. It was branded as “LEGO Factory”.
This was a set designed by a LEGO fan but could be combined with other LEGO Modular Buildings. At $89.99 USD, it was one of the lowest priced LEGO Modular Buildings. The set was also the smallest out of all the LEGO Modular Buildings. It features three floors with three different rooms. Three LEGO Townspeople minifigures are included.
The recommended age for LEGO Factory 10190 Market Street is those that are aged 10+. This is truly a classic LEGO modular building set.
3) LEGO 10185 Green Grocer

LEGO 10185 Green Grocer Modular Building 2008 contains three stories. It features a grocery store on the ground floor and classic apartments.

LEGO is probably still working on getting experience with designing and creating LEGO Modular Building sets. Four LEGO townspeople minifigures are included in the set.

LEGO 10197 Fire Brigade Modular Building 2009 is a very detailed classic fire station in the year 1932. There is a 1930’s fire truck, fire dog and garage door that opens. The bottom floor has authentic details like firefighting tools. On the top floor, firefighters can rest and play some ping-pong or grab some snacks from the kitchen.
There is a firepole where firefighters can quickly go down from the second floor to the ground floor. Four minifigures are included in the set including three firefighters and a woman.
LEGO 10197 Fire Brigade is a fire station classic. Firefighters and those that love the fire emergency services would find joy in this set.
5) LEGO 10211 Grand Emporium

LEGO 10211 Grand Emporium Modular Building 2010 was a corner building. It is a three story department store with lots of details starting with the ground floor revolving doors.
The ground floor is the clothing department with mannequins, clothes, fitting room, cash register and more. On the second floor, it is the housewares department. The top floor is the toys department. A brick built escalator connects all three floors. Seven LEGO minifigures are included in the set.
