There’s just no stopping Shaker High School’s own Madison VanDenburg. The junior belted the Queen classic “The Show Must Go On” during Queen week Sunday, and America agreed: the show must go on. Madison’s name was called third by host Ryan Seacrest to move on to the Top 6 and another live elimination show next Sunday.
In a special moment, Madison and Ryan Seacrest also gave a shout-out to Shaker High School, her classmates at a watch party, and Madison’s favorite teacher, Mrs. Simkulet.
Madison also sang a duet of “A Million Dreams” from the movie “The Greatest Showman” with fellow contestant Jeremiah Lloyd Harmon.
“American Idol” returns next Sunday, May 5, on ABC at 8:00 p.m. for another live show. The Top 6 will be whittled down to the Top 4, so Madison will need your votes! Be sure to tune in and cheer for our own American Idol!
